Responsibilities
The Java Developer will be responsible for assisting a team of engineers developing complex application. The Java Developer will be responsible for the full life cycle of software development, including programming, debugging, integrating, and documenting high quality software products.
The ideal candidate will have a broad background in numerous software technologies and network protocols and have a passion for software development processes, methodologies, and best practices. He or she will have a broad experience in distributed software development (J2SE, J2EE, authentication, security and encryption) and relational database design and development(Oracle, SQL Server) on Windows and Linux/Unix operating systems.
The candidate will have experience developing server side components (JSP, servlets, JavaBeans, EJB) with special attention to security, performance and scalability issues. In-depth knowledge of MVC and other Java developing user-friendly and dynamic web applications is a plus.
This highly self-motivated individual must have the desire and flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment and the ability to investigate new technologies which contribute to the development of our products. The work is extraordinarily challenging and demanding.
Requirements:
* 5 - 7 years of experience in the Software Industry.
* 5+ years of object oriented design and development.
* Senior-level (5+ years) of recent Java Developer experience
* 4+ years of distributed Java technology (servlets, JSP, JDBC, JavaMail, EJB, SAX,DOM).
* Experience with SQL Server and ORACLE
* Needs to be able to create efficient SQL statements and triggers.
* Solid understanding of architectural concepts and patterns
* Diverse backgrounds (software company, experience, finance companies)
* Experience with software product development, architecture and engineering
* Strong front-end development skills in HTML, DHTML, JavaScript, Ajax, CSS, XML, XSLT, etc
* Application development on mobile devices
* Senior level Design and Architecture Skills
* Experienced in using various application servers like Tomcat (primary platform), SunOne, BEA Weblogic.
* Windows XP/2000/NT/Me/98 and Linux/Unix software development experience.
* Has to be able to read and quickly understand other's people code and create uniformly formatted and well documented code.
